Mission and History

Our Mission

Landmine Relief Fund’s mission is to support the work of Cambodian Self Help Demining (CSHD) in removing landmines and unexploded ordnances (UXOs) from Cambodia and Rural School Support Organization (RSSO) in its two initiatives: Rural School Village Program (RSVP) and The Together Project (TTP). Rural School Village Program  builds schools in rural areas and The Together Project has a farm that teaches Cambodians to grow nutritious and chemical-free crops to supplement their diet and wallet. 

History

នៅឆ្នាំ ២០០៣ លោក Bill Morse បានឮអំពីលោក អាគីរ៉ា ជាយុវជនកម្ពុជា និងជាអតីតទាហានកុមារ ដែលបានចាប់ផ្តើមសារមន្ទីរគ្រាប់មីនតូចមួយ ហើយកំពុងស្វែងរកគ្រាប់មីនដោយដៃ ហើយកម្ចាត់ពួកគេដោយដំបង។ Aki Ra បានបង្កើតមជ្ឈមណ្ឌលសង្គ្រោះ និងផ្ទះសម្រាប់ក្មេងៗដែលរងរបួស និងត្រូវបានបោះបង់ចោល។ គាត់ និងប្រពន្ធរបស់គាត់ Hourt កំពុងមើលថែក្មេងរាប់សិបនាក់។

លោក Bill និងភរិយា Jill ត្រូវបាន Aki Ra និង Hourt ចាប់អារម្មណ៍ ហើយបានធ្វើដំណើរមកប្រទេសកម្ពុជា ដើម្បីជួបពួកគេ។ បន្ទាប់ពីចំណាយពេលពីរថ្ងៃជាមួយ Aki Ra និង Hourt ពួកគេបានត្រឡប់ទៅសហរដ្ឋអាមេរិកវិញ ហើយបានបង្កើតអង្គការសប្បុរសធម៌ដើម្បីជួយ Aki Ra បោសសម្អាតមីន។

The Landmine Relief Fund is a recognized tax-exempt 501c3 charity in the United States. The money it raises comes from small donations across the US and around the world. In 2009, the fund secured a grant from the United States Department of State’s Office of Weapons Removal and Abatement to help Aki Ra in his work.

សព្វថ្ងៃ Bill and Jill រស់នៅខេត្តសៀមរាប ត្រួតពិនិត្យការងាររបស់មូលនិធិសង្គ្រោះមីន។ លោក Bill ក៏ជាអ្នកគ្រប់គ្រងគម្រោងអន្តរជាតិសម្រាប់ការដោះមីនស្វ័យជួយកម្ពុជា និងជាអ្នកគ្រប់គ្រងគម្រោងសម្រាប់សារមន្ទីរមីនកម្ពុជា។ Jill គឺជាអ្នកចាត់ចែងនៃមូលនិធិសង្គ្រោះមីន និងធ្វើការយ៉ាងជិតស្និទ្ធជាមួយអង្គការគាំទ្រសាលាជនបទ។
