Rural School Village Project

Landmine Relief Fund supports an NGO called, Rural School Support Organization (RSSO). One of Rural School Support Organization’s initiatives is a program called Rural School Village Program (RSVP). Rural School Village Program builds schools in rural areas of Cambodia. Rural School Village Program has built 29 schools (June 2023). 

Rural School Village Program schools are government schools. Rural School Village Program builds the school and the government provides teachers and a curriculum. This way, the students are in the government education system.

When Rural School Village Program constructs a school, it also builds a gate, toilet, well, and assembly area. Oftentimes, it is the only well in the village. Rural School Village Program provides school supplies to the students and additional pay to the teachers. 

Rural School Village Program also has a scholarship program for university students. Rural School Village Program has put 30 students through university since 2009.

Rural School Village Program will continue expanding and building schools across rural Cambodia.
